Analytical Sciences Group Leader (Customer, Field & Manufacturing) at PPG Industries in Monroeville, PA
Key Responsibilities Handle the development and implementation of the Analytical strategy for working with customer field services and manufacturing process optimization teams, both for problem solving and process improvements. Decisions on implementing and continuous improvement of the partnership models regarding resource allocation, training, performance monitoring and more. Keep abreast with the changing business and technical strategies of the collaborators drive the group's prioritization toward alignment. Develop and implement a partnership with key collaborators both in business units as well as in key process improvement teams. Drive the effectiveness and efficiency of the partnership model. Identify and implement liaisons roles with collaborators while ensuring timely and effective workload prioritization and communication with collaborators. They will also develop and implant a staffing strategy to fulfill the goals and objectives of this group. Agility in leading resources while adapting and influencing changes, both organizationally and culturally to continue alignment with the strategy and goals of the Analytical group as a whole. Accountable to establish and achieve relevant performance indicators to measure the success of the group. Build an empowered, and engaged team rich with partnership and continuous improvement. Work with other team leaders to engage group-based SMEs to support the strategic priorities identified by Analytical. Ensure the safety of the lab operation in her/his responsible areas. Qualifications Requires a degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or other relevant scientific degree. A Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 10 years, or a Ph.D. with at least 5 years of industrial or industry experience; preferably in analytical sciences. Leadership capabilities and flexibility to adapt to a highly agile, scientific environment. Product development, customer service and/or manufacturing process improvement experiences a plus.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
