Repair Technician Job Description.
Performs repairs on customer RMA equipment according to established procedures and standards.
Works with department Leadership to help incorporate new process improvements.
At times operates without supervision, with some latitude for independent judgment.
Reports to the Repair Department Supervisor.
o Performs basic routine test of circuit board assemblies, accessories, components, and mechanical assemblies.
o Monitors test activities and records tests and repair results into the repair data repository.
o Responsible for repairing Vocollect RF products.
o Ability to read and interpret repair instructions, assembly drawings and work orders to determine work content.
o Ability to utilize appropriate repair equipment and tools for assigned tasks.
o Ensures that the final product meets customer configuration, original product specifications, update with the current applicable Engineering Change Notices and meet established quality requirements o Preferably have RF experience dealing with WiFi equipment and products.
o Able to load custom software into products.
Education/
Experience:
Two year Associates Degree or Military training and experience in electronics and/or equivalent experience.
One or more years of experience in a product repair environment.
